So Let's Talk Vibrato
How To Get A Killer Vibrato. At some point we all ask ourselves: " Okay, I'm playing the same notes as this guitar player, but why does he sound so much better than me?! " Well, most people I think would assume that he sounds better because of all his expensive equipment, but this is not truth. [Columns @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com]

The 2009 Edition
Now Playing: The Rock

I'm rehabilitating an Alvarez acoustic guitar that a friend gave to me.  It now has a home and will sing again.  This year is coming to a close and many of us are now dreaming of the not-too-distant future.

G.S. Guitar and Music has infequent posts, but it doesn't take much to have the RSS subscription active in a newsreader for updates.  It also transfers data through to Soulcircuit.

Mediaburn gets more traffic of course.  There's something about its e-zine sensibility that I love.  The early web style reflects a time of incredible growth, freedom, expression and optimism on the internet.  Many of the digital era's promises have yet to be fulfilled.  Something great has been preserved in the Mediaburn.net DIY aesthetic. Is it the notion of "Promise"?

There will be a redesigned Mediaburn.net site down the road, but I think our scrappy design which heralded and brought widespread change will also continue to run on the web for a while.

What has been called "Web 2.0" in recent years brought us a little closer to the dream. We will have to travel onward because I'm not totally satisfied.  And yes, perhaps 2009 will actually have more "music" on this site, called, uh... G.S. Guitar and Music! Tongue out  It's been a long but very enjoyable road so far.  See you in '09.
